Kansas City car shows season starts with the granddaddy of them all: The World of Wheels Auto Show (This is a family friendly car event! Yea!!)

Last year they made over $5,000!!!)

You can buy tickets at the door or through Ticket Master, although, I don’t know why you would--they’re going to tack on extra charges.

You can also get $1 discount coupons from any of the participating auto dealers (My choice is Roberts Chevrolet on 350 Highway in Raytown. It’s convenient from almost anywhere in town. While you’re there check out the service department specials, too! They just happen to have the BEST lube man in the Kansas City area-he‘s been servicing my vehicles for over twenty years! There will be the usual cast of dealerships showing all that’s new and shiny. There will also be exotics and vintage cars shown by area collectors. Dreaming is always free!

A mobile arcade will allow you to test your driving and gaming skills for free.

Also, a thousand dollars in cash, plus other prizes will be awarded to show attendees by the Kansas City Star.

Vineyard Grand Classic Car Show

Saturday July 18th from 8am till mid afternoon.  Sponsored and hosted by The Vineyard Church 12300 NW Arrowhead Tfwy., KC,Mo.  64165 (go north on hwy. 169 toward Smithville, Mo. They are 1/8th. mile north of the 169 & I-435 overpass.) 80+ awards in over 30 car and truck classes, no entry fee (one of the largest free car shows in KC) ,  family friendly, awards with multi level judging, inexpensive food, and air conditioned area. Everyone is welcome!

Gladstone Gladfest Car Show

October 4th (Sunday) from 7:30am,  click on the Grand Classic website link above for more info.

Gladstone Hy-Vee Cruises are held at the Hy-Vee Grocery store located at 72nd and Antioch Rd.,  Gladstone, Missouri on April 26, May 24, June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27, October 25; these are every 4th Sunday from 5pm - 8pm.                                       

A lot of Kansas City Car Shows and cruises benefit different charities. Grand Classic Car Shows offers the JDFR show, which will be held on August 23rd.  The entry fee is a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ($15 pre registration, $20 on the day of the show).  Registration may be done at the Gladstone Hy-Vee Customer Service. Hy-Vee is a major donor to/supporter of JDRF! Please get out and support this very worthy cause.
